Tonight at Band on the Wall, sonic dub genius Mad Professor creates cutting edge reggae live on stage with his band, The Ariwa Posse. Plus a live showcase from burgeoning reggae voice Jesse Royal, a leader of the reggae revival currently sweeping Jamaica.
A disciple of Lee “Scratch” Perry, Mad Professor was one of the leading producers in dub reggae’s second generation. Over the course of the 90’s and into the new millennium, he has remixed tracks for Sade, the Beastie Boys, Jamiroquai and Depeche Mode among others.
