They Live at the Dancehouse

This summer at The Dancehouse, Grimm Up North presents a whole season of films from the cult horror master, John Carpenter.

Tonight it’s the turn of 1998 cult classic “They Live” starring legendary wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper as a drifter who comes across a pair of sunglasses that give him the ability to see that everything is not as it seems in society. “They Live” is often regarded as the most under-rated of John Carpenter’s movies, famed for its combination of genius political satire, B-movie special effects, and the iconic 5 minute fight scene solely set in a back alley.

Doors open at 7.30pm and the film starts at 8pm. Tickets cost £6.50 and are available here.
