Oi Polloi have been involved in menswear in Manchester for over a decade and Cottonopolis is their first foray into fashion with their own brand. The term “Cottonopolis” was first coined as a nickname for Manchester around the time of the industrial revolution — a reference to the leading role the region played in fabric production and England’s emerging rag-trade.
