The Last Poets at Band on the Wall

The Last Poets are considered to be the originators of rap, as they combined politically charged street poetry with inventive, tribal percussion that electrified audiences at the Apollo Theater in the late 60’s and early 70’s. They will be performing live at Band on the Wall on Tuesday the 21st of July and will be supported on the night by National Curriculum and Inna Voice Collective, a group of poets, rappers, beatboxers and singers.
