Manchester Art Gallery recently acquired Exposed Painting Green Lake, 2012, by contemporary artist Callum Innes. The new exhibition Absent Presence is a display of works from the gallery’s collection, which takes its inspiration from this painting. It looks at how art captures a moment in time and asks how a subject can be present in an artwork, yet absent at the same time.
Entry is free and the exhibition runs from the 19th of June until the end of the year at Manchester Art Gallery.
