Last night at Gorilla, Simon Munnery performed his new show Simon Munnery Sings Søren Kierkegaard, during which he attempted the seemingly impossible task of making the works of the 19th Century Danish existentialist philosopher funny. Somehow, he managed to do this and used Kierkegaard’s ideas as a jumping off point for stories and jokes about life in general, with subjects as diverse as Vladimir Putin, supermarkets and killing mice. The next Group Therapy Comedy night is at Gorilla on the 6th of June and features surrealist comic, Paul Foot. It should be well worth checking out.
