On the 17th of March, Band on the Wall Film Club presents, the Brothers Hypnotic, the acclaimed documentary film by filmmaker Reuben Atlas about the jazz group Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. The eight young men that make up the brass band are all sons of jazz legend, Phil Cohran. He and their mothers raised them together on Chicago’s South Side on a strict diet of jazz, funk and Black Consciousness. This film tells their fascinating story.
Tickets for the screening on Tuesday night include free food and they are available now at Band on the Wall.
The band will be playing a live show at Band on the Wall on the 14th of April.
