There’s loads of different options for New Year’s Eve in Manchester City Centre.
Bars
Most of the bars in the Northern Quarter are offering free entry, so if you don’t want to spend too much money but still want a good fun night out in a lively place, then checkout Common, Kosmonaut, Dusk til Pawn, Noho and more. There’s a full list of everything going on in the Northern Quarter here.
Clubs
If you are up for a club night, then there are still tickets available for Todd Terry at Victoria Warehouse, Kerri Chandler at Sankeys and Marshall Jefferson at Gorilla.
Events
Manchester’s official New Year celebrations will take place in Piccadilly Gardens by the side of the big wheel, with fireworks also let off from the top of the wall. Council chiefs have promised the display will ‘surpass anything that has gone before’ – dubbing it the ‘best party in town’. The party – which will be alcohol-free – will kick off from 11pm.
Weather
The BBC is predicting outbreaks of rain for Wednesday night but the temperature shouldn’t be too bad at around 7 degrees.
Happy New Year!
