On Saturday the 21st of June, Mr Peeps and Puppet Rebellion present Sounds of the City at the Deaf Institute – a night that’s bringing together some of the best up and coming bands in the North West.
Puppet Rebellion were formed in January 2013 and have so far released two critically acclaimed EPs (“Chemical Friends” and “No Means Yes”), and gained a big reputation in Manchester and beyond for their energetic live shows.
The Backhanders are a four-piece guitar rock band from Manchester that are also making a lot of noise around town with their raw original grove and confident swagger.
Another set of talented Northern lads on the line-up are the alternative / funk / rock outfit No Hot Ashes; whose driving drums, melodic guitar riffs and funky basslines have been making people sit up and listen.
Stoke’s Moscow are a hybrid of some the best local bands from recent years and they’ve followed up their debut “Hell Fire” EP with the heavy rock sound of their new EP “Pack Animals”, which got a lot of positive attention when it was released earlier this year.
Tickets are selling fast for Saturday’s show, so get them while you can from the Deaf Institute.
