Fruitvale Station at the Cornerhouse

Fruitvale Station is based on the true story of Oscar Grant, a 22-year-old Bay Area resident who wakes up on the morning of December 31st, 2008 and feels something in the air. Not sure what it is, he takes it as a sign to get a head start on his resolutions but unfortunately his life takes a tragic turn.
 
The film won both the Grand Jury Prize for dramatic feature and the Audience Award for U.S. dramatic film at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. It is currently certified 94% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, with an average critics rating of 8.1/10. It is rated 7.5/10 on IMDb, with a Metascore of 85/100.
