OneFive Eight at Kraak

OneFiveEight is a creative collective based in the Northwest and the theme for their third exhibition – taking place today at Kraak – is Artwork inspired by Audio.
 
25 tracks have been chosen from submissions that ranged from field recordings to polished dance floor fillers by unknown musicians and signed artists. The tracks were then randomly distributed to 25 different visual artists with a simple brief – to create a visual response to the music. The artists chosen for this project come from all types of visual disciplines; including photography, illustration, street art and videography.
 
The exhibition starts today at 11am and runs until 8pm. All the results will be exhibited and each audio piece will be available to stream by scanning a code using a QR scanner and smart phone. So please bring headphones and a smartphone with a barcode scanner app to take full advantage of the audio and artwork at the same time.
